About Our School:

Led by Jackie Albers, Success Academy Harlem 1 opened in 2006. With 623 scholars, the school is located in Central Harlem, eight blocks north of Central Park. Recently Success Academy Harlem 1 won the nation’s top education prize, a Blue Ribbon Award for academic excellence as one of the state’s top-performing schools.

Our Principal:

Jackie Albers, Leader of Success Academy Harlem 1

Before joining Success Academy Charter Schools, Jackie worked for Teach for America and taught as a middle school English teacher in the Bronx. She is excited by the chance to support her teachers in making significant academic progress with their scholars. Most recently, Jackie has been selected as an "Outstanding Principal" by the Blackboard Awards. She graduated with a degree in journalism and political science at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
