About Our School:
Led by Carolyn Roby, Success Academy Upper West opened in 2011. With 248 scholars, the school is located on 84th St. and Columbus Avenue. Between Central Park and the Hudson River, the primarily residential Upper West Side is home to an array of museums, shops, and restaurants, which reflects the community’s rich culture. It is close to the 1/B/C 86th Street stops and the M7, M11, and M86 bus lines.

Carolyn Roby, Leader of Success Academy Upper West
Before joining Success Academy Charter Schools, Carolyn worked for Teach for America as a second and third grade teacher at an elementary school located in the South Bronx. Following TFA, she became a founding second grade teacher and leadership resident at Success Academy Harlem 1. Carolyn graduated with a degree in psychology from Harvard and has a Master’s in teaching from Pace University.
