About Our School:

Led by Beth Davis-Dillard, Success Academy Bed-Stuy 2 opened in August of 2012. With 165 scholars, the school is located on Throop Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Nearby, one can find an array of churches, Sumner Playground, and restaurants of many different types of ethnicities. It is close to the J/M Flushing Avenue stop.

Beth Davis-Dillard, Leader of Success Academy Bed-Stuy 2

Beth joined Success Academy as a founding faculty member of Success Academy Harlem 1, where she was a first and second grade teacher. She also had the pleasure of working as a Leadership Resident at Success Academy Harlem 2 and Success Academy Bed-Stuy 1. Prior to joining Success Academies, she was a 3rd and 4th grade teacher at a district school in Washington Heights. Beth is most passionate about closing the achievement gap by providing a phenomenal education for all children, and building a school that fosters critical thinking and a passion for learning in both faculty and scholars. Beth graduated from Sarah Lawrence College before pursuing a Master’s in Childhood Education from City College of New York and a Master’s in Education Policy and Management at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. She is also a cohort member of New Leaders for New Schools in New York City.
