Every May, thousands of high school seniors from across the country officially declare where they have decided to go to college. For the first time in Success Academy history, we joined in the National College Signing Day celebrations this year: Our first class of seniors announced where they plan to enroll. This fall, they will make their way to renowned college campuses across the country, from Tulane University down south to Boston College closer to home. Our seniors did not make the decision lightly; every one of them received multiple offers and substantial financial aid packages to choose from, proving that the future is theirs for the making.
These founding scholars — our pioneers — have spent the last twelve years simultaneously forging their own paths while paving the way for those behind them. They are prepared to take on the next adventure because they already know how to journey into the unknown, how to seize each opportunity, and how to meet every challenge with confidence. As high schoolers, they tackled many milestones, from taking the SATs to writing personal statements, without the guidance of upperclassmen. They have emerged from the experience as kind, driven, hardworking thinkers and doers who are a credit to everyone in the Success Academy community who worked so hard to get them to this moment.
Class of 2022, I have no doubt that you will be the movers and shakers of the next decade. We will continue to cheer for you!
