Today, nearly 4,000 third, fourth, and fifth grade scholars from 24 Success Academy schools packed the seats of Manhattan’s historic Radio City Music Hall to celebrate the start of next Tuesday’s New York State English Language Arts exams and the New York State math test slated for May.
Having started our careers in the schools, we both saw this project as an opportunity to serve our scholars in a new way.
They know that what matters most is not the score they get, but the effort they show and the real sense of accomplishment that comes with knowing they did their best!
It is a thrill to have the opportunity to collaborate with individuals who make children’s success their life’s work, and I know—even if I’m not inside the classroom—that my designs help change kids’ lives.
