At SA, we consider families our most important partners — which is why we take parent feedback very seriously! This year, parents completed surveys in January and May, sharing invaluable insights into what we are doing well and where we can improve. With a completion rate of 75.6% (14,752 total responses), the May survey asked parents to give their view on a number of key areas, including quality of academics and teaching, scholar social-emotional health and development, and classroom management. I am very proud of how Success Academy took the reins of remote learning. My children are definitely learning as though they were sitting in front of their teachers in class. Success Academy was by far the most prepared school for this pandemic and homeschooling. You have made homeschooling a smooth process for parents and scholars. My scholar’s teacher, Mr. Hernandez, is great. I appreciate his patience with me and my son’s grandparents. Before the pandemic, there was a possibility that I was going to have to move to Queens. I asked my son whether he wanted to go back to his old private school or continue with Success Academy in Queens. He stated that he would rather stay at an Success Academy and when I asked him why, he said it was because he learns more at Success Academy. When I heard that, I knew that I could not pull him from the school. His input is super important to me in the decisions that I make, and if he likes the school, I love it. SA Bed-Stuy 1
