New York, NY — On Friday morning, more than 4,000 Success Academy students from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx will gather at Barclays Center for the sixth annual “Slam the Exam” academic pep rally. At the rally, third and fourth graders from 24 Success Academy elementary schools will celebrate their academic achievement and show off their school pride in advance of the upcoming state exams. Success Academy Principals Jennifer Haynes and Dan Rojas will emcee the event, and Success Academy Founder and CEO Eva Moskowitz will give the keynote address. Slam the Exam will also feature performances from Success Academy dance and Step teams as well as school cheers set to popular songs. Four students at the rally will receive awards for most improved scholar and highest-performing scholar in ELA and Math.
