New York, NY — On Thursday, August 24, Success Academy educators and parents, joined by CEO Eva Moskowitz, will hold a press conference on the monumental failure of NYC’s school system to address the deep racial disparity in student achievement. With 193,000 students of color unable to pass math and 179,000 unable to read, the impact is undeniable. Educators will demand Mayor de Blasio stop normalizing failure and start supporting high-performing public charter schools to end this crisis.
