Ms. Jean-Baptiste joined Success Academy in 2015 as a teacher at SA Harlem North Central. She remained there for three years, teaching sixth and eighth grade ELA and serving as a grade team lead for their first cohort of eighth graders. In 2018, she joined the SA Bronx 2 Middle School community as an assistant principal and managed fifth through eighth grade humanities. In 2019, Ms. Jean-Baptiste transitioned to the role of principal at Bronx Middle School. Prior to SA, she worked with struggling readers at a charter school on the Lower East Side. She holds a B.A. in English, Anthropology, and African American Studies from the University of Florida and a master’s degree from New York University for English education grades 7-12. Ms. Jean-Baptiste loves reading a good book and traveling to new places.
