Ms. Cannella joined SA Springfield Gardens in 2017, where she spent three years as a fourth-grade teacher. She later joined SA Union Square where she served as fourth-grade team lead and senior grade team lead. In her seventh year with SA, she became the assistant principal of SA Union Square. Ms. Cannella holds a master’s degree in elementary education and a bachelor’s degree in English from Quinnipiac University. She has her New York Professional Elementary Teaching Certification (Grades 1-6). Ms. Cannella is passionate about creating a strong school community where staff and scholars feel motivated to reach their highest potential. Outside of her role in education, Ms. Cannella enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and trying out new restaurants!
