Kelsey DePalo

Kelsey graduated from Wellesley College, where she double majored in English and theater with a concentration in writing. After graduating, Kelsey joined Teach for America and taught fourth grade in Houston, Texas. She then moved to New York and taught in the South Bronx while earning her master’s degree in literacy education from New York University. With more than five years of classroom experience teaching grades Pre-K to 4, Kelsey is a licensed literacy specialist and ELL teacher, and has received certification to teach in Gifted and Talented programs. In 2009, Kelsey joined Success Academy as a teacher at SA Harlem 1. Since then she has served as the network’s Associate Director of Early Literacy and was most recently a Leadership Resident at SA Harlem 1 and SA Harlem 3, as well as an adjunct professor for Touro College.
