These Scholars Can’t Wait to Start School. Really.

Ready, set, go! School is starting for 11,000 Success Academy scholars in grades pre-K to 10! Here is what they told us they are most excited to do in the year ahead:

Iysis San Andres is entering second grade at Success Academy Bronx 2.
“This year, I am very excited to continue moving up reading levels. I am on level M and cannot wait to go beyond Z! I am also very excited to go to art because I love to see my art displayed during the art show. I have done lots of arts and crafts throughout the summer, and I can’t wait to do more at school.”

Sofia Susskind is entering second grade at Success Academy Union Square.
“This year I am looking forward to science, art, and math. I am excited to do my own designs in art class. I am also very excited to do new experiments every day in science and to learn addition, subtraction, and multiplication in math. I hope to get better at it!”

Sarah Eyre is entering third grade at Success Academy Harlem 2.
“I am excited to learn new strategies that will help me be creative and express myself in art class. I am also excited to expand my thinking in math class.”

John Ethan Rivera is entering fifth grade at Success Academy Bed-Stuy 1.
“The class that I’m most looking forward to taking this year is fencing. I’m excited because I did some research and found out that fencing is not only fun and competitive, but it also develops and improves coordination, athleticism, concentration, imagination, analytical thinking, ambition, and self-confidence.”

Samuel Eyre is entering seventh grade at Success Academy Harlem East.
“I am looking forward to learning new chess tactics, so I can beat new opponents. I am also looking forward to science class because I will be able to dissect many animals now that I’m in seventh grade.”

Naomi Eyre is entering eighth grade at Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts.
“This year, I’m looking forward to playing volleyball and improving even more. I am also looking forward to advanced math, so I can be prepared for college.”
